This is my favorite Italian cookbook since it was published in 1991. My husband gave it to me as Christmas present. I'm an avid cookbook collector and love to cook. Many of the recipes are suprisingly simple but delicious. It was this cookbook that taught me that some of the best cooking is done with a few simple ingredients. Off the top of my head, the cooked pasta puttanesca recipe, the cauliflower pasta sauce, and the ricotta crepes are recipes that have made me famous for cooking among my own circle of family and friends. I can't recommend this book enough.
