Soccer Man's book review

South Carolina Sea Creatures Audio Craft Publishing, 2004, 198 pp., $11.00 Jonathan Rand ISBN 1-893699-71-4 Have you ever met a South Carolina Sea Creature Well if you have, you would know that they destroy every thing. But what you didn't know is that when they eat pancakes they do something unexpected. Machelle, Chad, Derik, Rachel have witnessed this incident. They are the first. They are the only ones on the island with the humongous, dangerous purple sea creatures! My favorite character in the story is Rachel. She is 12 year old girl who is very smart. When Rachel meets these creatures she is calm and leads the other 3 kids. One day Rachel, Derik, Michelle, and Chad are making pancakes when the sea creatures interrupt and wile the kids run the sea creatures stay put and eat the pancakes, and then something out of the ordinary happens. The kids use it to there advantage. Then finally someone comes to save them but the monsters attic the helicopter and it crashes. What will they do now? South Carolina Sea Creatures is a book in a series. The genre of South Carolina Sea Creatures is fantasy because sea creatures are not real. The theme of South Carolina Sea Creatures is man vs. wild because it's a story about 4 kids against Sea Creatures. When I read this book I got attached. I like how Jonathan Rand ended his chapters with something that would make you want to read on, gust read for yourself ``Problem was, to get to the house we had to walk right past the lagoon- the very lagoon where Derik had watched one of the sea creatures disappeared. In the excitement of everything going on, I guess we forgot about it. Well we were about to be reminded... in a horrible, horrible way.'' Doesn't that make you want to read on/ I recommend this book to a boy or girl who loves things that explode. Also to people who love Jonathan Rand.

Great book, guaranteed!

I think American/Michigan Chillers are really great. Not one of Rand's books have disappointed me. This book is really great, like the other books. I started to read these great books in 2nd grade. About the story: Chad and Michelle Prescott see something big. Something vicious. Something Purple with 41 teeth. They are seeing more and more of them and look very dangerous. They have to find a way to get rid of these ugly things. They get help from Rachel and Derek Baker, their new friends. Together, can they figure out a way to destroy or get rid of these terrible creatures? I'm not going to tell you! (nah nah) find out by reading American chillers #17 South Carolina Sea Creatures.
