good, but pricey

The kid who received this book collects sonic comics so this was a real find for him, he goes back and re-reads it every few months when he delvs back into the series so we did get our moneys worth at least.

In The Beginning...

This collection of the original 0-3 Sonic the Hedgehog mini-series is a must-have for any Sonic aficionado. I've been reading Sonic since issue #7 and the last issue I've purchased is #144 if you want an idea as to how many issues I have.. I've tried filling in the blanks in my collection, but it's such a hassle to get the earlier issues. Thanks to this handy-dandy compilation I don't have to worry about missing anything in this series I hold so dear! It may seem a little repetitive if you have the other trade paperback Archie Comics have released for early Sonic issues (Sonic Firsts,) or obviously the original issues, but any truly devoted fan will want this book-- and will appreciate the fact that Princess Sally boasts her original prototype colors!

Sonic WAS great.

I agree with the previous reviewer.I'm only 14 and i grew up with sonic. My first ever video-game was sonic 2 and he made blue my favorite color. The old sonic comics and games, I'm refering to the old days of 2-d not the new anime version of him, were great. Now they shoved humans in the story and extremely unproportioate heads onto the characters. I love the old sonic. And the hardcore fans love him too. Why Sega...WHY? But enought about that, this comic is great. If you want a good dose of what to expect from the old sonic comics, this is a must buy. In fact it's a must buy, period.

More Sonic stuff!

Let's go back... Waaaay back. To when Sonic was a wee hedgehog starting his own comic in 1993. Remember how Sally used to look? Remember when Rotor was called Boomer? Remember when Robotnik had Crabmeat and all those other baddies? Well this'll give you a serious look back into the past of the popular comic. If you want to know what happened at the beginning of the comic, because (like me) you weren't an avid fan at that time or if you just want another Sonic book, get this book. Don't expect back-breaking action, but this is still worth a couple hundred reads if you've got the time. This book is similar to Sonic Firsts, but Sonic Firsts has some things editted and cleaned up so it looks more modern. Get both and see how much Sonic has changed over the years!

A Tribute To Sonic

I've read almost every sonic comic to date, and this comic highlights all of sonic's great moments. This is great to new-commers to Sonic Comics as well as long time collectores, like myself. Some poeple won't like it if they're used to "modern" or "anime" Sonic. But beleive you me Sonic waz way better in his 2-d games at old comics. So all I can say is Buy It, if you like Sonic. And if you don't like him, buy it anyway.
