Food for the Soul

The sacred teachings, which are shared within these covers, definitely feed the soul. If you've never been able to work intimately with the medicine wheel, this book will guide you by the hand. Each time I reread this book, a new 'Aha!' appears ~ I'm reclaiming pieces of my "self" that I wasn't aware were missing! Wonderful addition to everyone's home library.

The Song of the Deer not only provides philosophy and esoteric knowledge, it shows how to apply this information in a way that can really facilitate change. Jan Orsi's personal examples of her challenges in her life's walk helped to put the information in a real-world modern context.There is a wealth of information in this book. I would suggest to any potential reader to read it at their own pace. Put it down for a few weeks, and then read it again, slower, and you will be amazed at much more you will get out of it.I found the information on the Adult and Child Substance Shields, spoke to me and I could easily indentify when I was choosing to look at life behind one of these shields, whether with positive attributes or negative attributes.

This is a book you will want to reference and read many times over. Each time I have re-read it I gain more and more insight from it!
