The most romantic, magical book I've ever read!!!

Barr outdones herself with this incredible love story! 1815, Cariad, a baby girl left in the house of Megan, a good, but rather strange woman who lives by herself and is accused by the villegers of being a witch. Cariad grows up to be a beautiful girl, loved and sheltered by Megan, with a wonderful voice. But she also has the gift of the second sight, and when she meets Simon for the first time, the incredibly handsome son of a wealthy man, she knows that she has been with him before,in other times, and she will be with him again. When Megan dies, she ends up working in Simon's house, where she has to deal with Simon's terrible wife,a very young and heartless wench, and resist the temtation of sining with the only man she'll ever love. The result of their undying love is an unforgettable story of sacrifice, magic, and passion that will stay with you forever!
