Book Overview

In this "saucy and smart" memoir, a journalist uses pop culture as a lens to navigate her identity as a Black woman (Oprah Daily).

Nichole Perkins takes readers on a rollicking trip through the last twenty years of music, media and the internet, exploring her experience with mental illness, her attachment to the TV show Frasier, her role as a mistress, Prince, and what it means to figure out desire and sexuality in a world...

Perfect!

This book was in perfect condition!! I throughly enjoyed reading this book, it was very entertaining and relatable. As a young black woman growing and experiencing life, this book allowed me to view the perspective of another who has already lived and learned. I recommend this book to any black woman in society, any black woman learning. There were so many interesting stories and I loved the essay format of the book. 10/10 so happy to have this read on my shelf!
