Something To Celebrate by Felicia Mason\Margie Walker\Brenda Jackson released on Nov 24, 2000 is available now for purchase. This description may be from another edition of this product.
The stories in "Something to Celebrate" are truly wonderful! I loved reading all of them. I was moved by Kia Simmons' story in "The First Noel." Kia was a dedicated woman, who because of an earlier tragedy in her life, she was not up to celebrating the holidays. Kia had lost all the joy of the Christmas season, as well as her spiritual belief. However, she was devoted to her nephew, whom she raised from a baby after the death of her sister. It is during this Christmas season that Kia meets the love of her life in the form of Franklin Williams. Franklin not only comes into Kia's life as a love interest, but Franklin brings faith, worship, joy, and a renewed spirit into Kia's life. "The First Noel" was short, but sweet. Kia could not have found love and hope in a better place! "Kwanzaa Kupendi" was another touching story. Michelle Craig could not have asked for or been given better friends than Loretta, Reba, and Clarissa. Nor could she have developed a more devoted relationship than with Simon Stevenson. Michelle has a lot to deal with regarding her past and her family relationship, but her friends are there for her. Through their dedication and friendship, Michelle comes to realize that life is worth living and love makes it even better. Now, for Brenda Jackson's story, "Truly Everlasting." It is 'a forever love.' Love has a timing effect. Felicia Lavern Madaris has already decided to change her flighty ways and settle down to become the perfect mother to her young son. However, looks can be deceiving. Felicia has changed her attitude, but not her dress appearance. She is still an eye catcher to the men, especially with some of the daring outfits she wears. "Everlasting Love" is Felicia's and Trask Maxwell's story. Trask not only comes to Felicia's aid, but comes into her heart as well. Their love blossoms into an everlasting love. Ms. Jackson has done it again with the Madaris' clan!

I am not a big romance reader, but this Holiday novella was the bomb. I read it three time this weekend. I just couldn't put it down. Brenda Jackson is a writer in a class all by herself. I just want to talk to her personally. I really really enjoyed all the stories, Ms Jackson just took my breath away. Ladies keep up the good work each story had a special highlight that truly deal with family, emotion, faith and issues of today.
Brenda Still Shines

As you can see from my header, Brenda is the one I feel shines in this trio of authors. Before you start reading the book, this reader suggests that you plug in a fan. Girlfriend, as usual, is smokin! No one can put a twist on romance writing like Ms. Jackson. The budding romance between Trask and Felicia turned into a smokin inferno and if you don't have a fan on hand you will certainly burn! . Notwithstanding romance, Ms. Jackson tugs at your heartstrings with the relationship she builds with the entrance of Felicia's son and his wish for Christmas; thus you should also have a handkerchief ready with that fan. If you're looking for romance, Ms. Jackson is the diva of that subject. The story by Felicia (another of my favorite authors) was cute. I can't give any kudos at all for Ms. Walker. I didn't like the writing style.
A Heartwarming Story by Margie Walker
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 25 years ago
Margie tells us a story that involves one of America's top health issues that occurs during the holiday season and that's Suicide. She illustrates how the caring of friends make every effort to save their friend's life. The hero in this story of course has first hand training on dealing with such issues, who objects to the friends method of helping but he soon finds out, blessings come in all different ways. Both Michelle and Simon not only resolve the main issues at hand, but find love in the midst of it all. Thank you Margie, for giving us a story that deals with a sensitive subject matter as suicide and hope that somewhere at this moment it will touch that one person's life.
Another Great Madaris Story

Brenda Jackson does it again with the continuous Madaris Family Saga. This is a well written story about cousin Felicia Madaris and her long time friendship with Trask Maxwell. You know how you have those kinds of friendships the boy-girl kind that you have had since childhood, picked on each other, just actually get on each others nerves but in reality as you get older you start having strange feelings for one another. Well this story by Brenda Jackson does just that with Felicia and Trask. It has humor, its heartwarming, it has that old Madaris family touch and it has another great ending. Brenda does it again and makes us all feel like we are apart of this family and somewhere you see somebody who you recognize either as a family member or a friend. So to all the old Brenda Jackson "Madaris Family" saga fans you should be able to read this in one day and enjoy it just like the others. To new fans, in order to really appreciate the Madaris Family and Friends you must start at the beginning, you won't regret being apart of this continuous saga. To my Florida Friend..Ms Jackson..Much continued success as you go into the next century!
