Great Book

A little random at times. But it was a cute book. Straight chick joins gay couple? Ok!

Something More is Something Wonderful

Amanda Young is one of those authors that in my opinion does not write a bad book. All of her characters get to the heart of the relationship and work hard to be together. I have a confession to make. I am really not a huge fan of Menage books. Having said that I LOVED this book! I thought the characters were very well written. Not only were they interesting, but they are characters that are very likeable and people I could see myself being friends with. Emma Taylor has been trying to get back on her feet again. After a disastrous relationship with her ex-financee, her self esteem has taken a beating. To make matters worse, she finds herself attracted to her ex-fiancee's brother-and her best friend Will-who is in a very happy homosexual relationship with his equally sexy and desirable partner Paul. She finds herself fantasizing about having them both in her life, but thinks it is just a fantasy that will never come true. Will O'Malley has a hidden desire. He has been in a happy, loving and very successful relationship with his partner, Paul for two years. But, in his heart there is something missing in his life, his friend and brother's ex-fiance Emma Taylor. Will has always been attracted and drawn to Emma like a moth to a flame. There has been nothing but friendship between them, and when she needed a job or a shoulder to cry on, he has always been there for her to help her out in any way he can. But, lately he has been restless. Although, he loves and desires Paul, he wants Emma too...and it's making him crazy. Paul has sensed Will has feelings for Emma. Although, he doesn't doubt Will's devotion to him, he suspects Will is starting to get restless. Paul himself has always been intrigued by the sweet, beautiful Emma. So when he confronts Will about Will's feelings for Emma, and finds out that his hunch was correct, he sets in motion a way for Emma to join in the circle of their love. Watching Emma, Will and Paul come together and work out their differences to make a loving bond between them was beautiful to watch. I am so jealous of Emma...she couldn't find more perfect, sexy mates in Will and Paul. I loved every minute of this book and I hated to see it come to an end. If you are offended by a beautiful love story and some super hot M/M, M/F and M/M/F sex... this book is not for you! Otherwise, grab a cold drink and enjoy it!

passionate scenes full of emotion

Emma Taylor's been in love with Will O'Malley for years. Being in love with your boss is difficult enough but the situation is compounded by the fact that she was once engaged to his brother. Will already has a lover anyway so it's hopeless to pin all her dreams and desires on him. Will O'Malley is wracked with guilt because of his feelings for Emma. He's in love with Paul and has been for the past two years but he's drawn to Emma as well. Will's tried to bury his feelings and think of her as just a friend, only he's finding it impossible to continue to lie to himself. Paul Argonaut has noticed the heated glances Emma and Will give each other when neither of them thinks the other is looking. He's not offended or hurt. In fact, he's rather infatuated with Emma himself but he quickly comes to the conclusion that nothing is going to happen among the three of them if he doesn't initiate it himself. Emma's just starting her vacation and looking forward to a whole week off from work. She'll get to read and be the homebody that she truly is - unfortunately her laptop has other ideas. Paul fixes the clunker for her whenever she crashes it, but this time he needs to keep it overnight because he's busy working on another project which he needs to finish first. The fact that Emma seems nervous about leaving the computer makes him curious. Just what does she have on there that she doesn't want him to see? What he finds is the last thing he expected, but oh the possibilities - Emma has bought e-books featuring gay men or two bisexual men who share a woman. He had no doubt that she desired Will but could she be interested in them both? Paul's determined to find out and takes it upon himself to invite her into a menage. Amanda Young's SOMETHING MORE captures all the emotional turmoil and fears that come with stepping into a new situation. Paul, Will and Emma have been friends for quite some time, giving into their sexual desires will change things between them. I have to laugh at how Paul goes behind Will's back and invites Emma into a menage and then Will's reaction to that bit of news really draws the reader emotionally into the story. Their relationship is anything but traditional and they have issues they'll have to work through, including Will's fear that a relationship among the three of them won't last and he'll be forced to choose. Emma Taylor has been attracted to Will O'Malley for what seems like forever. Once engaged to Will's brother, Emma was attracted to him even then. She has never acted upon her attraction because Will is taken - by Paul Argonaut, the man with whom he lives and has been involved with for two years. Emma doesn't have any idea that these two men quietly watch her for signs of attraction. When enough is enough and Will can take it no longer, he and Paul come up with a plan to bring Emma into their family. All they have to do is convince her that they have enough love in their hearts for her as well as each other because if Emma is scared of one thing, it is coming between Will and Paul and losing them in the process. SOMETHING MORE has that added extra emotional intensity that I love in a book. Fully anticipating a classic MMF ménage, I did not envision the scorching hot and beautifully written sex scenes that made me shiver more than once. Will and Paul's acceptance of Emma was a dream come true for Emma and she was so scared of messing up. I carefully watched this relationship unfold, hit snags, and then continue on stronger than ever. Intense, passionate, playful and just downright naughty, SOMETHING MORE is simply that. It is more than a simple ménage. It is a love story between three enigmatic characters who love each other unconditionally and without hesitations. I loved it. ***Natalie S. for Wild on Books***
