Fifteen-year-old Patrice's quiet life with her mother is disrupted when Patrice finds herself experiencing pregnancy and motherhood. This description may be from another edition of this product.
I read this book when I was in 8th grade and at time I could relate but not all together. I read it again in 9th grade, when I found out I was pregnant and my whole perspective of the book changed. I related to it so much and knew exactly how Patrica was feeling about embarrassment going out and everything. It's defiantly a very tearjerking book and heart touching. I loved it so much and couldn't put it down.
What Most Teen Girls Go Through!

I like this book a lot. The book begins when Lance and his friends make a bet that he would ask out Patrice and get in bed with her. Lance asks her out and she is speechless. Patrice is this shy sophomore who was amazed to be asked by a cute senior. Lance started driving her home and they talk a lot. Then they started having sex without using protection. Patrice is happy that someone notices and loves her. Then she becomes pregnant and she is upset and scared. She kept it a secret from her mom for awhile. Lance starts avoiding her and then got engaged to his real girlfriend Stephanie. Patrice got a lot of support from her friends, her neighbor Mrs. Fawcett, and her mother. She had a baby boy at the end and named it Chance.
SOMEONE PLEASE LOVE ME!

This is a heartfelt emotional story about a sophmore girl named Patrice Latta being noticed by a senior named Lance Carter. Lance makes a bet with his friends that he would get this girl to commit fornication, and this story is about what happens when she fornicates and gets pregnant. She can't go out because people stare at her and she is embarressed. Then, Lance gets engaged to another girl that summer and Patrice's heart breaks. She doesn't have an abortion because she doesn't want to destroy the last link she had to her love. I believe that this is a wonderful novel, and it is totally heartfelt. It is a presentable novel to young Americans today.
