Some Girls Do

The Characters in the story are Melanie,Shane,Katie,Melanie's dad,and Swiss Kriss.Melanie is the girl who falls in love with Shane. At first Melanie thinks that she hates him.She can't stand it when he's around her because he's always making fun of her because she is the principles daughter. Shane is the new kid who moves nextdoor to Melanie and he can't stop thinking about her. He's always trying to bother her or be rood. Katie is Melanie's best friend. They do everything together. She cares for her and is always there for her. Melanie's dad is the principal at Knoz High School. He's a pretty layed back type of guy until Shane does a prank on one of the teachers and he punishes Shane by making him rake the leaves in his yard for a couple of weeks. Then there's Swiss Kriss, she's a whole different other person compared to Melanie. Swiss Kriss is a person who has to her way. She's one of the most beautiful girls in the school. Shane played a prank on the teachers and the principal made him rake the leaves at his house and Melanie was there because he's her dad. When Shane got tired of raking he decided to come in and fix himself a sandwich. Melanie's parents were not at home but she was. Melanie was trying on her prom dress she had bought for the Fall Ball that was coming up. When she got it on she went downstairs and was surprised to see Shane. When Shane saw her he told her she looked great, so he kissed her. You might think that you don't like someone when you see him, but you know all you have to do is get to know him and you might find that you really enjoy this person.

GREAT BOOK!

This is one of favorite books in the "Love Stories" series. Melanie Merrill is your typical good girl who's tired of people assuming just because she's the Principal's daughter that she's a little goody two shoes. Shane Connor is an A Class troublemaker and at first Melanie hates him. But the whole time it's sorta obvious Shane likes her. Shane is so funny and so sweet. I love the Taco Bell scene. Anywayz great book, READ IT!

A great romantic read!

I have read almost all of the "Love Stories", and I found "Some Girls Do" to be one of the very best in the series. As a reader, you are really drawn in to the love/hate relationship between 'principal's daughter' Melanie and 'bad boy' Shane. The book has some incredibly romantic moments, but many funny ones as well. I would say that Dahlia Kosinski's strength is in writing 3-dimensional characters. Each character, no matter how minor they may be, has a distinct personality, voice, and a back-story. In my opinion, this book is one of the very best of the genre, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a sweet love story.

Awesome---you've gotta read it!

This is a super book about straight-laced Melanie and do-anything-for-a-laugh Shane. They are thrown together when Shane is punished for an immature antic by working at Melanie's (a.k.a. principle's daughter) house. Shane, aware of Melanie's goody-goody image will do anything to annoy her---and it always works. This is a really romantic and fun novel

A hilarious and romantic novel for young adults!

The sparks fly between reluctant good girl Melanie and prankster Shane. Though at times, Shane's antics are immature and annoying, the author's light-hearted style prevents the story from being ridiculous. This book is like a small snack--enjoyable and undemanding of its reader
