Tender Story

This book was good and sweet. Maggie is married to Ross, a rich workaholic. She wants more out of life than just money. Will she stay with Ross, or will she divorce him and found somebody else? There is a lot more to this book than just that, but you have to read the book to find out. I do not want to ruin it for you. This book is very good and touching. I loved the character Noel.

For the cynics

I read this book ages ago, upon completion I contacted my bookseller and special ordered and presented copies to each of my friends. The story was emotional and draining. After reading I was ready to relocate to Bethlehem, since everyone longs for a Ross or someone of his calibre in their lives. He is strong and dependable force, yet he has his own set of insecurities, you can't help but admire as you admonish him for not realising the treasure he has in his wife. Maggie, is resigned to her future, yet she rises to the challenge of meeting each new day with grace and dignity, even though the thought of divorce looms darkly in the distance. Any woman would respect her convictions and cry along with her as she suffers through acceptance of the possible demise of her marriage. The words are nostalgic at times, painful yet provided the reader with insight to hopefully a happy ending, which it delivers at the end. This book is truly an inspiration, especially to die-hard cynics like myself. This story was reminiscent of true love with the knowledge that the path to true happiness is not always paved with good intentions. Their rediscovery of each other reflects how easily one can lose themselves and the vows taken, yet, rediscover the path to true happiness with perseverance and devotion. I highly recommend this book, emotional and insightful. Great read.

A Good Love Story

This was a good, well-written love story. The plot was good. I loved it. I loved the character Noel; she played a very important role in the story. This story is an example of what can happen when you don't always have your priorities in order and don't have your soul mate as your #1 priority.

This is a tremendously beautiful book.

This book is extremely beautiful. Marilyn Pappano once again weaves an emotionally touching story of two beautiful people who lost and luckily regained each other. The author builds emotions high and strong. She paints emotions vividly in great careful detail and i was entranced. It was with a sense of regret when i finally turned the back cover of this book since i got fond of the lovable characters in it. If you liked reading "A Season For Miracles," you will definitely love this one too. One gets reacquianted with old friends and gets to know other characters even deeper. A further insight into how it went with the Daltons/Bishops is an added delight. Another bonus is Holly's character which sprinkles some additional laughs into the story as well. The enticing town of Bethlehem and its very own nostalgie-evoking Christmas tradition provides once again a magical backdrop to Ross's and Maggie's spell-binding romance. This is one book to savor, relax and enjoy with, to be hooked on, to ponder upon, and to learn from. I'm certainly looking forward to the next story set in Bethlehem by Ms. Pappano. Just as a German would say upon stumbling something precious and worthwhile, "Es lohnt sich, wirklich!"

A heartwarming holiday love story

On Christmas Eve, Maggie Mckinney cannot believe that her marriage to Ross is over, though she should not be surprised since he never has time for her anyway. An angry Maggie is stunned that Ross never even put up a minor fight to stop her from walking out on him. Maggie drives away on the icy roads, but her car skids and she is badly injured in the ensuing accident. Over the next few months, Ross sees that Maggie gets the best medical care and often visits her at the hospital. However, though she is physically much better, Maggie suffers from amnesia as a result of the blow to her head. When it is time for her to be released, her doctor suggests Ross take her back to their Bethlehem home so that little will spark her memories. Ross regrets what he did to his beloved Maggie before the accident. He tries his best to make it up to her by helping her regain her memory. Even as he gives her the ultimate gift, Ross knows that when she regains what she lost, he will lose everything that he cherishes in life.Marilyn Pappano has deservedly earned a reputation for her fabulous story lines that always thrill readers. Her current contemporary romance, SOME ENCHANTED SEASON, is a spellbinder that will elate fans with its holiday message. Ross is a warm character, whose regrets will fill every reader's stockings with plenty of angst. Maggie is also a magnificent protagonist, leaving fans of contemporary romance with no reason to not spend and enchanted evening with Ms. Pappano.Harriet Klausner
