Well structured text

This is no doubt a very well structured text. The chapters are written keeping in mind the requirements of a novice. The facts and ideas are explained very clearly, leaving no room for errors by a person. At times it gets verbose, but I think that is what an average reader needs. The chapters start from sketching and go to modeling and assembly, followed by drafting. This is the right approach to teach a program to anyone. All in all, a very well written book and is surely a must buy.

Great book

I would like to state that even the copy that I received has this spelling error on the spine. However, that does not take anything away from the book when it comes to the material inside. The text in this book is excellent. I would go up to the extent of saying that it is one of the best book in the market. We are using this book in our company and all my collegues share the same thought that the text and the tutorials in this book are great. This is one book that really helped us enhance our SolidWorks skills.

Great book

This is a "Great" book to learn SolidWOrks. It has excellent tutorials and exercises and interesting test questions at the end... The author is doing a good job to teach people SolidWorks. But someone has some personal problem with the author and so keeps writing these fake bad reviews. A quick question for someone... whenever there is a bad review for this book, why is there a good review for another author's book? Well I could not figure out...

Review from a CAD Coordinator

I reviewed this book for a possible use in my class during this semester. I am more than satisfied that this is the right book for my class. I will be covering basic and some advanced commands in SolidWorks 2005 and all of them are explained in detail in this book. There are some additional topics in this textbook that would be more useful for the industry professionals. I hope to have a great semester teaching SolidWorks 2005 with this book and the teaching resources that come free with this book.

Design Engineer's Views

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, I wan't to express my views about this book. "Simply excellent" is what I feel about this book. I see a great potential in this book to teach anyone Solid Works. I bet no one shall need a teacher if using this book. Designing a part to assembling it and creating detailed drawings, everything in a single book with such a clear explanation and self explanatory graphics is extremely commendable. I recommend this book to every user of Solid Works. Martin Lamb Mechanical Design Engineer Stafford, UK
