oldie but a goodie for sock crafters....

there's a lot of good AND bad to this vintage sock craft book. First the good-this book is chock full of designs for sock animals, dolls and gift giving items made from socks. Unlike most modern craft books that are more eye candy than substance-this book starts and finishes with nothing but plans for sock crafts. The designs are simple enough that older children could easily make many designs here. And if you like kitschy crafts-well, let's just say this book is more about funny than art. The bad is not really that bad-and expected in a 20+ year old craft book. No photos-everything is explained in words and drawings. The only other qualm is that most designs are made from knee high socks-which most folks don't wear now-BUT you can probably adapt the designs to shorter socks. All in all-if you like to make kooky sock animals-for the price you should buy this book.
