As an introduction to psychological cresearch on American sexual behavior, it's hard to top this book. It touches on most of the major problems, reviewing countless studies of all shapes and sizes along the way.My only quibble is the authors are committed to their particular viewpoint, that of social psychology, and they give it prominence it throughout. This is mitigated by two factors, however. First, they warn in the introduction that they are going to do so, so one is prepared for it. Second, they are careful to give other perspectives a thorough hearing, including radical feminist views that are frequently dismissed out of hand. I heartily recommend this book.
