For historical romance lovers who like tender and sweet

In nineteenth century New York City, reporter Hal Sinclair learns a life lesson when he rips into the recent performance of Bubbles Fitzwater, the current amour of the new owner of New York Daily Regard. Hal's punishment is banishment to Brooklyn that, though not Manhattan, does not seem too bad to the reporter. However, Hal soon learns that the Brooklyn Herald is published in Brooklyn, Missouri and that, to the Manhattanite, is a catastrophe. Upon arrival in the barbaric frontier, Hal immediately seeks one major exclusive so that he can return to civilization. Rachel Pridgeon ran away from her Arizona home and changed her name. She now is the town teacher and knows she must ignore her growing feelings towards the curious reporter, who keeps asking her questions and openly flirts with her. People are beginning to talk and Rachel realizes that a teacher's reputation must remain above reproach. Hal finds himself feeling just like she does. He cannot stop flirting with the staid teacher even as he knows he cannot afford a commitment if he wants to return to the big city. Love may not be strong enough to unite this couple who has different life goals. SNOWFLAKE WISHES is a tender Homespun historical romance that leaves the reader feeling upbeat. The story line is an entertaining and fulfilling old fashion romance. The lead characters are heart stealers while the support cast add an authentic feel to the historical era. Lydia Browne captivates her audience with this beautiful brisk book. Harriet Klausner
