Snowbound

A very enjoyable story. Well written, with the characters and storyline well developed. It keeps you turning the pages.

A Nice Romantic Love Story

This book was absolutely warming to the soul. Love does not need perfection as most people seem to look for someone perfect. I was always taught don't look for someone you can live with, but find someone you can't live without. That was my take away of this book. When each appeared to go their separate ways they still felt each other to the ends that each was willing to do whatever necessary to make it work, change jobs, change venue, get help, whatever it took because they really could not live without each other. Nice.

Excellent story with well-developed characters

This novel is head and shoulders above the average for this genre. The plotting is natural and believable, and the character development shows that the author has done thorough research. The heroine, Fiona, strikes an excellent balance between compassion and love for the traumatized John, and refusal to be his enabler. The underlying message is a powerful and positive one. I look forward to reading future books from Ms. Johnson.

A Wonderful Story

I found this book to be a wonderful, engaging story that stands head and shoulders above most of the other books in this line. The hero, John Fallon, is a tragic one. Suffering from post traumatic stress syndrome after experiences in Iraq, he has fled to the Cascade mountains to try and recover. My favorite heroes are always the tragic ones and John is a perfect example; he has been beaten down by life and his only hope is to find love that will be his salvation. In this moving and uplifting story, John is ultimately healed by the power of love and is able to move forward and truly live once again. All readers of romantic tales believe in the power of love, and this story is ultimately very satisfying.

A Fabulous Read!

Outside, a storm is raging... When a blizzard strands Fiona MacPherson and her students in Oregon's Cascade Mountains, their only hope of survival is to seek shelter at Thunder Mountain Lodge. Their host is John Fallon, a handsome, enigmatic war veteran haunted by secrets and scars that may never heal. John Fallon never imagined he'd be playing host to this captivating teacher and her eight teenage charges. But when his solitude is shattered by their arrival, his world shifts on its axis. He needs Fiona--but does she need him? There's only one way to find out. The ex-soldier must find the courage to reach out to the remarkable woman who has transformed his life.... Janice Kay Johnson is one of my favorite authors, and SNOWBOUND is another winner! I always recommend any fellow romance readers to give her books a try. The characters are heart-felt, the story is moving, and the romance is lovely.
