Anyone who, as a child, hoped for a snow day, will appreciate this jem of a book. The illustrations are wonderful and the text is just as cute. I grew up in Wisconsin in the 60s and went to a Catholic school. This little book brought back memories of both a wonderful education, the dedication and humor of fine teaching nuns, and the glorious feeling of a snow day!

I love this book. The illustrations are wonderful. They make me long for the first snow even though as an adult I tend to dread it. I love to read this story right before the first snow storm to my elementary students. The story is simple and makes me smile. I love to see the Sisters fly down the snowy hills with their students. If you want a story about the the words that thrill school children ..Snow Day..., try this book.
