Cigarette Lovers Can Love it Too

I love smoking, but when I read this book, I was comforted to know that there are still reasonable people out there that don't think smoking is a sin. If you can, give it up. If you can't, or don't want to, go ahead, but beware that there might very well be serious consequences. Including journaling was also another inspired idea. Read it if you smoke or need to somehow come to terms with a smoker you love.

Smoke and Mirrows

Most people are looking for a "quick fix" when it comes to quitting smoking; but being an ex-smoker myself, there is none. This book helps with the most important part - the committment and internal motivation to become more healthy. This book is for those who are truely serious about quitting and willing to put some time and effort into the process. I believe this will pay off in the long run, because it will last.

Refreshing!

What a welcome change to find a self-help approach which encourages the reader to think for himself. The writers bring a body-mind-spirit perspective to the process of quitting a smoking habit. Starting from the premise that real and lasting change must be internally motivated, the book gently guides the reader through a process of self-examination. The non-judgmental tone is another plus. If the reader decides to quit smoking, great. If not, that's OK too; at least she has begun an enriching process of reflection, one that may ultimately lead to a stronger commitment down the road. This approach may not work for people who require more structure, but for it's got the potential to help many people who have been unsuccessful with other methods.
