Slocum joins a group who are rounding up wild horses and cattle to form herds to sell in Missouri.These are tough times,with Comanche ever near to attack and lots of owlhoots more ready to steal and kill, rather than hunt for their own. Slocum meets up with some real interesting characters,has some real fierce battles,loses some friends along the way;as he has to take over as leader and look after everyone,get the herd to market,and fight all along the way. Slocum inherits some money and land;and never one to settle down;sets up his new friends ,who he has become quite attached to. A good tale with lots of action as we look for from this "longest-running action western series.
