She had been a teacher in the old schoolhouse where he grew up and currently resides. Beginning in rural Ontario in the 1960's, the Boy discovers his calling to be a songwriter. While stumbling through his awkward adolescence he learns the value of friendship, hard work, rock n' roll and LSD.
