What's In A Book?

Skyclimbers is a well written 5th grade reading book, that appears (at least in the copy I have) to have a 1981 copyright date. So why not update the material and print it for kids today? This is the kind of book with real "meat" in it. Not only does it support the morals that our country was founded on, but it contains issues that, while the specifics change, the overall needs for solutions don't. So what's in this book? Not just stories, but poetry, grammar, skill lessons - such as recognizing fact from opinion, main ideas, map reading, understanding imagery and Foreshadowing, among a host of others. So what's in a book? I can't speak for much of todays reading material, but any Fifth grader who finishes this material will experience more than just stories - that is for certain!
