Six Running Desires

Six running desires is a rather unique book in that its six poems are expressed in a varied range of languages, including visual narrative. The author, Brazilian poet Floriano Martins, has followed a path that is just as unique, standing out not just as a poet, but also a translator, visual artist, essayist and publisher. A scholar of Surrealism as well as of Spanish-language poetry, he has contributed relevantly to his home country's culture in each of his fields of endeavor, particularly with the publication, since 1999, of Agulha Revista de Cultura, a review that he founded and that specializes in critical studies of the Arts and culture.
