I had to write about Siren Song, which I just finished reading. I love Broadway--especially musicals--and the author makes you feel that you're actually part of the process of mounting a Broadway production. I don't know how she did the research; it was wonderful! I also love wildlife, and the way she had the hero roaming the world documenting wildlife was so fascinating that I couldn't put the book down. The way she described the animals--the elephants in Africa, the tiger (I won't spoil it by telling you!) in India, the snow leopard in the Himalayas--was breathtaking. You felt like you were right THERE! I loved the story, too--the two women, singer and composer, and how they triumphed on Broadway after so many trials and tribulations, and how Keeley and Gabe had this fantastic love affair, and how he dedicated his most famous photographs to her; it was SO romantic without being "romancy." Read this book; you won't be disappointed. I loved it and look forward to more!
