A Tangled Web

Review by Tavares S. Carney - "the Christian Page Turner" From beginning to end, the author of Sinful, arouses reader anticipation in yearning to know what each character will do next. First there's trouble-making and bitten-by-the-jealous bug, cousin Dior, who resents the fact that her cousin Chandelle has everything she wishes she could have and more, legitimately. This includes a husband, a big house and a nice car. Readers are acquainted with Dior's web of deception that leads to the demise of her cousin's marriage to a humble, loving husband. After a terrible misunderstanding that lands Marvin, Chandelle's husband, in jail, everything starts to unravel in their lives. Both Chandelle and Marvin, although suffering through the pain of thoughts and feelings of ungratefulness, bitterness, jealousy, greed, infidelity and more, never lose their love for each other and with God's influence, are led back into each others arms. This book is a very good read and is proof positive that no matter what, there is always hope for a mended relationship when God is in the picture.

Sistahs On The Reading Edge ** Summer Sizzle**

Victor McGlothin has done it again with a faced pace story about family members and their values or lack there of. This story takes us into the lives of first cousins who are each others support system through the good and bad. It also knocks at the door of letting ones personal wants and desires get in the way of building a loving relationship based on love and trust and not material things. But like momma and daddy always warned you be careful who you allow into your personal life be it family or not because there are always individuals that carry around venom who are bound to strike out and bite someone. Everyone has family members that share the same characteristics of the characters in this book and thats what makes the story believable.

I thoroughly enjoyed the book! Put your seatbelts on and enjoy the ride, you'll need it with Dior at the wheel. The character Dior was off the charts in the menipulation department. Talking about someone who can lie with a straight face!....she takes the first prize. Like Momma-nem use to say, "whatever goes on in the dark, will surely come to the light", Dior's name should be in lights on Broadway! If you like a little drama, it's all inside of "SINFUL". I truly recommend it. Great job Victor! Looking forward to the sequel.

I enjoyed it and look forward to another

I have to admit, this book is somebody's reality. These people are so real I became angry at some of Dior's antics and wished I had a Dooney in my life. I think Chandelle is a woman everyone knows or can identify with. Victor has captured true family drama. I can truly appreciate all the characters. The predicaments these people find themselves in are unbelievable and yet they happen to people everyday. Victor truly has a winner on his hands here. I look forward to the next one.

Family Drama at the Highest Level!

Victor has done it again with another fantastic story! This story is filled with family drama and the ending will surprise you! Chandelle and Marvin are the main characters in this book but her cousin's Dior and her fraternal twin Dooney add more drama to this mix. Dior is a very unhappy lady and misery loves company and she brings a lot of misery to the once happy couples marriage. Chandelle is a sista that wants material things that she knows her husband can not afford but he goes along with what ever will make her happy until he too has had enough. Lies and deceit turns a happy marriage into a barely there marriage because of secrets and lies. This story will make you angry but it will also make you think about what would you do in this situation. Family is forever but in this case, it is time to let go and let God!
