Apparently good argument

I'm not a scholar of religion, so I cannot comment on how the author used Luther's writings as the basis of his argument. That said, I find his argument interesting. He argues all human actions are tainted with sin. No matter how saintly the person, noble the cause, or dutiful the execution, humanity is never perfect. Given that, however, is not a fact that should make us despair. Rather, it is an indication that we need to give up on moralism. I put 'apparently' in the title because, as I said, I don't know enough history of Christianity & theology.
