After a terrible storm, Baringa was on his way to his high Secret Canyon, one of his two soon-to-be-born-foals mare had lost her footing and fell into the raging river that was rising due to the heavy rain. Baringa sets to look for her and Benni takes the herd up to the Canyon and axiously waits for Baringa. Soon, he returns and said he lost Dawn, but he was determined to find her and bring her back, alive. Lightning also fights to have Yaralola, the mare he saw the first time he came to the South. But Yaralola announced that Baringa and Bolder died in a fight but Baringa didn't. He was resting then he finally found Dawn and her foal was a creamy roan colt. Benni finds Yaralola sniffing and looking for Baringa because she hates Lightning and wanted to be free like Baringa so Baringa brings her home to his Canyon. Overall it's the greatest book ever. I recommened this book to young and elders that loves horses.
