Good book

I have a great love of the Victorian silhouette cameos and this was one of the books on cross stitching silhouettes I came across. I don't think this is the best book out there and not the most detailed, but I believe it still deserves a 5. It contains quite a lot of the traditional woman side silhouettes, a few cherubs, some children and a large animal band silhouette project. The projects in this book are great, since all you generally need to display it is a picture frame or some fabric and lace. The graphs are rather hard to read, because all that are used are the same black symbols in tiny squares. I suggest maybe photocopying it and coloring in the squares as you go along stitching. On a very bright note, no fraction stitches, which makees me love this book! This is a simple book, but it has a lot of beautiful silhouettes.

A very good book

This is the best book of Silhouettes that I have found. There are many easy projects plus there are some full scale difficult works for those who want to test the limits of this cross stich form. Buy it you will not be disappointed.

If you like old fashioned silhouettes for Victorian decor, this book is for you. The silhouettes are truly lovely like the typical profile of a woman and others are vibrant and in action which makes them suitable for a modern decor also. Quick, easy and beautiful.
