Sir Guy had the face of an archangel... Yet his vow of silence and monkish cowl hid thoughts that would make the devil blush! For the innocent beauty of Celeste de Montcalm was a temptation that he could scarcely resist. But was his urge to protect her from the evil lord to whom she was promised an honorable one, or just an excuse to claim the lady as his own?

I am glad to finally read a romance novel that doesn't revolve around sex. I have read every Jude Deveraux book and I went in search of a new author. My little sister had Tori Phillips's "Silent Knight" and begged me to try it. I am glad to say that I have found a new author for me to enjoy and I love how she reminds me of Jude Deveraux. They are the only two authors of romance novels that I will recomend to my friends. Now I say to all my friends - "Grab a Tori Phillips book, a glass of iced tea and a snack and you are set for the day." Grab a book and enjoy!!!
Absolutely Wonderful...

A Nobler hero I haven't met in a long time!!!IT is true, Guy is silent for m ost of the book. But that makes it even better--he is remaining true to his vows...his honor. The whole reason he left the court is to get away from rakes ad rogues and the spoiling of innicents. But I digress. I would weep if a man loved me enough to do what he did. He was Lady Celeste's silent champion through out her whole miserable trip in England. He stayed by her side when she leaned the kind of marriage she was doomed to. He wooed her with sweet love notes, and through mssages sent by another man. AND, he took the dream she told him she had as a child, about a knight coming to rescue her, and turned it into reality. He involved his whole family in creating her perfect knight, the Knight of the Loyal Heart, and made her every dream come true when he fought for her honor on the field. What woman wouldn't want this noble man? Celeste, too, far from being a weakling, had more honor than I would. She remained true to her promise to her father no matter what she knew was to happen. I couldn't have gone through with that!A truly sensual, loving, LOVELY book that I honestly hated to end. If you want heatfelt love, through honor and sacrifice, read this book. If you want all that, plus you would like to se Shakespeare written into every page, read Ms. Phillips' Halloween Night. Truly a delight for Shakespeare lovers! All in all, I would highly reccomend all books in the Cavendish Chronicles, starting with Three Dog Knight, then Silent Knight, Midsummer's Knight, Halloween Knight, and A Knight in Venice. Best to read them in order, as the stories unfold through each other. Very well written. Huzzah for Ms. Phillips!
