From the author of A Little Something Different comes another delightfully adorkable contemporary teen novel filled with secrets, questions, and a little superstition.
If only Jane's Magic 8 Ball could tell her how to get through the summer. With her "perfect" sister, Margo, home for her "perfect" internship, Jane is not going to be able to spend the summer writing fan fiction, as she had planned. And her emergency babysitting...
This was a really cute book. I really like the premise of this book. The idea that a girl is quite reliant on an eight ball is interesting. And I love how that small thing can be so useful on the flow of the story.
The love story is quite adorable. I like the slow burn and how they are as acquiantances grows into something so much more. I liked the gentleness and the awkwardness it even showed us. So if you like to gift this to a younger teen, this would be a good start in delving into the YA genre.
The flow of the story was really well done too. I like how my expectations of what will happen went out the window. But it was very much welcome.
I do wish there was more to the ending. Though it's not an open-ended book, it does have a solid ending. It's just me wishing there was an epilogue. I wanted more with what was next for the characters.
Overall, pretty good. Really cute. And it's a solid YA contemporay romance.
