Preserve goverment project at all cost

Very good Quinnell book. Very good suspence and relatively good action. Shows what action the U.S. would be willing to take against one of their own Ambassadors to save a secret project. Recommended reading for Quinnell fans. Not a Cresy book, but a good reading book just the same.

Awesome Quinnell Book !!!!

Second AJ Quinnell book I read (first being Man on Fire).Thought this one was just as good.It was awesome. The characters in is are just fabulously written, the story and politics in it were great, and jsut the way it all comes together was just great. I loved this book, as well as the other 2 of his Ive read (Man on Fire, In the Name of the Father)Check them out, they are great books, get your hands on any AJ Quinnell book you can !!!

Action

A.J. Quinnell's Siege of Silence is one of the most action-filled books I have read untill this day. This book shows how politics and old politicians can cause themselves excitement when it comes to wars and foreign countries. If you are not very familiar with what guerillas do and how much trouble they can cause, Siege of Silence is your book. A.J. Qunnell provides action, secrecy, mystery and even more action for those interested in such exciting topics.

I wish all American Ambassadors would be like this one!!!

A quick-paced tour-de-force, a hell of great book! After the whole embassy was taken over by the Cuban-trained terrorists, the American Ambassador, although a politically rewarded assignment by the White House, turned out to be a tough cookie, so tough that made the terrorists helpless even tortured him so ruthlessly. This story really enlightened me of how a man with true courage could standfast against the almost hopeless situation. The hero of this book made me think of Nelson DeMille's strong characteric creations in his WORD OF HONOR, THE CHARM SCHOOL, and BY THE RIVER OF BABYLON. A great book of true heroism!!
