I am Dana Owen, a former Massachusetts Metropolitan Police Officer, who retired as the Armorer for the Massachusetts State Police. I am very happy to announce I have written and published my first book called Shotgunned. It's the story of how my partner and I pursued a hijacked U.S. Mail Truck on June 16, 1975. I was the driver and we chased the Tractor-Trailer Unit from downtown Boston, to Winchester - about 10 miles north of the City. After I was shot, not once - but twice, the vehicle pursuit ended but not my determination to catch the bad guys who tried to kill me.
