Now my kids can get a feel of the experience

I really enjoy listening to "Strange Universe" and Bob Berman on the WAMC public Radio call-in show monthly. I experienced the Apollo program and thought I knew a lot about it, but I found there were many interesting bits and bytes that I knew little about. My 2 teenagers have started the book and they are enjoying it immensely.

Marvelous history of the Mercury-Gemini-Apollo years

Berman has a gift for making the complex easy to understand while not watering down the details and keeping the reader engaged. Berman's history of NASA's manned space program through the Apollo years is a fascinating read, full of detail and human interest and revelations about the flights and behind-the-scenes stories I have read nowhere else. A terrific book.
