Shoelaces and Brussels Sprouts by Nancy LeveneHave you ever lied and ruined your tennis shoes because of it? Well Alex did in Shoelaces and Brussels Sprouts by Nancy Levene. Alex is a third grade girl who tried to save Jason's turtle and instead ruined her tennis shoes.I liked this book because it shows what could happen if you lie. When you lie the story gets bigger and bigger and eventually you get caught.I think the author wrote this book to show that you shouldn't keep lying. I also think the author wrote this book to show that you should tell your parents if something is wrong.

A Great Book!

This is a really good book, because it deals with lots of important issues that most children worry about. It talks about the power of God, and what believing in him can acomplish. I would recommend it to any Christian, along with the other books in the Alex series.

Shoelaces and Brussel Sprouts

EXCELLENT BOOK! My 6 year old daughter read this book to me during our family reading time and WE both loved it! It was very well written and easy to understand. She really identified with the charater of Alex. It helped her later on when she had to deal with a situation like Alex had to and helped her to do the right thing from the beginning. She really learned a lot from Alex and this book. I would recomend this book for any young reader. My daughter can't wait to read the next book in the Alex series and to tell the truth neither can I, We can't wait to see what else Alex gets into and how she lets God help her in the end!
