At first I thought maybe this book accompanied a video because several times it describes step 1, step 2, etc. This is NOT a guide for beginners. I have been using shibori methods for several years and found most of the "steps" to be vague, especially if you're a beginner. There were no accompanying photos to go with the steps - that would have helped. However, it feels almost more like a pamphlet than a book and has incomplete information about the history, with nothing about how to actually make an indigo dye pot, and ends with a completely impractical explanation of how the denim industry measures shades of indigo.
