She Thinks Her Ex is Sexy

After breaking up with her rock star boyfriend, Shannon is happy to head to Mexico for a wedding. What she doesn't expect is to run into her ex. She's forced to deal with him - and stuck with him for her ride back home. Will they be able to rekindle their romance? Or will outside forces ruin any chances they have to be together? She Thinks Her Ex Is Sexy might just make you wish you were stuck in the desert with your own rock star... She Thinks Her Ex Is Sexy is a hot and sexy story. Shannon is a strong woman with her own career goals and is ready to take on the New York Theater. But after agreeing to be maid of honor at her best friend's wedding, she is almost forced into accepting a ride back home when her flight is cancelled. She should have said no, but then the gossip rags would have went to town on them. They both fought and fought their attraction to each other. After getting stranded in the desert, they both learn that what they thought kept them apart isn't what was really keeping them from fully exploring their relationship. Past history really interferes with them moving forward. The course of true love is never easy - especially when neither one of them really talks about their issues and what they really want. I found She Thinks Her Ex Is Sexy to be an interesting look at how much can go wrong in a very short time without constant communication. It's easy to fall in love, but it's a lot of work to stay in love. Vivian Reviewed for Joyfully Reviewed

She Thinks Her Ex Is Sexy .... is a hot read!

She Thinks Her Ex Is Sexy by Joanne Rock is a Harlequin Blaze story. It is about Romero Jinks, a gorgeous rocker, and Shannon Leigh, a B movie actress. They broke up three months ago after a year of dating and living together. Now they are both in Mexico for a friend's wedding. Romero offers to give Shannon a ride home because he knows that she is strapped for cash. One the ride home, they are bumped by a van, and end up in a ditch up-side down. They are now stuck in the desert together without a town in sight and with neither of them being able to resist the other. Soon, they find things heating up between them again. Except Shannon wants all of Romero this time around and she is not sure that he can make that deep of a commitment. Romero knows that he wants Shannon, but he is not sure about forever. I really enjoyed the chemistry between the hero and heroine in this story. Romero sounds like a total hunk. I didn't care for the heroine as much. This is the first book that I've read by Joanne Rock, and after reading this one, I'm interested in reading more by her. 4 stars!

Sexy!

She Thinks Her Ex Is Sexy Joanne Rock Harlequin Blaze February 2009 Ms. Joanne Rock never fails to impress with her story-telling skills. She Thinks Her Ex Is Sexy is fresh and fast-paced. Yet Ms. Rock still seamlessly develops her hero's and heroine's back stories so you can understand and sympathize with what drives them, motivates their reactions. I found myself wanting to take sides over their break-up. They became real friends who I wanted to see make a go of their relationship because they would make a great couple if they could just get past the past. Shannon Leigh cannot wait to leave. Foolishly, she had agreed to be maid of honor for her best friend's romantic Mexican wedding. That was before she and Romero, the best man, had their big fight and very public break-up. After a night of watching him dance with one beautiful woman after another, all who claimed to be his all-time biggest fan and suffering through their required wedding party dance together, all Shannon wanted was a quick trip home. Fate has a sense of humor though. Why did it have to be Romero who offered her a ride home when her flight was cancelled? Why was it him who realized she needed help? Shannon wished she could have said no but then their names would be all over the gossip magazines. Again. Better a torturous ride home fighting her body's physical responses to his closeness than having her name smeared at this crucial time in her faltering acting career. Romero, sexy rock star, wonders if the torment of having his very tempting ex in his car was such a good idea after all. Yes, once he heard at the reception that her chartered flight had been cancelled, he knew it would cause major stress to her finances for her to get home. Did that mean he had to be the one to rescue her? He guessed it did. Romero couldn't leave her stranded no matter if the few hours long trip would seriously drive him crazy. Least he could do was to take a short cut across the desert even if the old road did some damage to his brand new car. He was good at survival and every instinct was telling him to get her home as fast as he can. The sooner he could put this wedding behind him, the better. Little did Romero know that his short cut would become the long way home. Some fanatical driver, the only other vehicle he had seen for miles, actually ran him off the road and drove away, leaving him and Shannon stranded out in the desert, victims of a hit and run. He vowed to get her to safety but the question is can he do it without taking her in his arms and probably getting slapped for his efforts? Or, is she struggling with memories of their passion too and would she welcome his embrace? If asked for three words to describe She Thinks Her Ex Is Sexy, I would say, "Hot, sensual fun." Ms. Rock took a burnt-out, ash-smoldering relationship and fanned the heat to burning hot temps. It was a fulfilling pleasure to watch Shannon and Romero finally work through their failed bond and figure out why th
