Shakespeare with Noodles is a program designed to be young people's first introduction to Shakespeare, with costumes and props constructed from swimming noodles. The Tragedy of King Lear has been broken into two plays. King Lear: Part 1 and King Lear's Backside. King Lear's Backside has a playing time of 50 minutes. It contains an original Shakespeare with Noodles prologue which recaps events from Part 1. Should you choose to present the two as one full length play, you may omit this prologue.In King Lear's Backside, both Lear and Gloucester are reunited with their estranged children. Goneril and Regan feud over the villainous Edmund. Both sides will battle for possession of the crown. Featuring lots of action, the play concludes with the appearance of Lear's ghost.
