Jewel Eyes

The eyes of the Warrows come in various shades, some have specutlated they are in some way related to the giants that once roamed the world. Whatever the truth, they give them a decided edge in the demondark. They are even able to outsee the elves within its murky darkness. The story conitues to progress as the Warrows from behind the thornwall are taken from one extreme to another. AS I stated in my earlier review of book one, it is like Lord of the Rings in many ways. Still, it is enjoyable if you but give it a chance.

The Middle of a Great Trilogy

If you've read part one of this Trilogy, then you probably couldn't wait to get your hands on part 2. And you certainly won't stop here until part 3 is read as well. McKiernan takes all the human emotions from the highs of noble exhileration to the lows of death's despair and injects them into his wonderful and vast world. Join us now in the Winter War....

A Great Second book

I think all the reviwers who are blasting this book for being a Tolkien rip off are missing the point sure there a lot of similarities espesially the Krakken but this was orginally meant to be a sequal to Lord Of the Rings, also imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. If can get past that this may not be the most orginal idea in the world and just enjoy the story.

A GREAT BOOK FOR TOLKIEN LOVERS

This book achieved overall excellence it managed to keep this reader involved through the entire novel. I think that this is just as good of a series as "Lord of the Rings". Dennis McKiernan is an excellent author also try "Tales of Mithgar."

A page turner to the last.

The Shadows of Doom is the best book out of the Iron Tower Trilogy. The entire book keeps you wanting more. You can feel as if you were fighting off giant monsters and traveling through the dark and dismal halls yourself. This book is excelent to read on the cold days of winter by the fire. Keep your eyes open when you read this one, and keep a few days of your scedual clear
