I love it !

Rebecca York, is one of my favorite werewolves series writer. She had the talent to make me get into the stories and make it work. Her characters are always likeable. With promises of excitement, mystery and romance....York is so much worth it IMO. Shadow of the Moon is the latest "Moon" werewolves series. The book grabbed me from the first page and I never put it down. It was wonderfully exciting and very steamy, sensual, with some explcit scenes. The book added dimension to the story which was what made the story great! The tension between Savannah and Lance, was sizzle. I really enjoyed seeing the Marshalls' brothers and their wives again; including the cousins. I love to see old characters making appearance...hence the reason I love series books . there also second characters couple that are likeable too. And it look like the next book going to continue off where we met Rinna's world :)YAY! I love the werewolves "Moon" series. And I think you won't be disappointed in it. It's a worthy read! Do yourself a favor and go read Rebecca York books.

Much Better Than I Expected

I must be honest and tell you that upon first examining this book to determine whether or not it would be of any interest to me, I almost put it back on it's shelf. However, once I started reading it became so compelling I couldn't put it back down! The characters instantly sprang to life and drew me into their twisted world of mayhem. I absolutely adore Lance and am so happy he finally found his "life mate" Savannah who desperately deserved the love and affection he and his family came to shower her with. This pack of wolves claims to not get along yet they were all able to pull together for one power packed conclusion. There are some strange eccentricities taking place at The Castle and you won't believe what people of such high power and wealth are able to obtain with their memberships at this club. This odd turn of events is what brings Kevin and Erica together. The probing sexual bond between them escalates into a lasting relationship despite their age differences and the intense circumstances they are forced to undergo. Charlotte enables us to experience first hand the hardships that can tear sisters apart but are you going to believe everything people tell you or have the heart to dig deep enough to discover the truth for yourself no matter what the consequences? Conrad finally gets a grip of his senses and helps to put an end to Boralas's feeding frenzy and put him in his place once and for all. But it is too late? I can't wait to read another of Rebecca York's suspenseful novels.

Rebecca York Justs Gets Better and Better

I have been reading Rebecca York's romances for at least 20 years -- and for one reason: she really does just get better and better. Rebecca York is not a franchise romance writer. You don't drive into her McDonald's and get the same Big Mac every time. This can be unsettling, yes? or maybe perhaps it can be invigorating and challenging and transformative -- I love it that Rebecca York's couples continue to evolve and to evolve one another -- pushing the envelope. Where did I read that her dad was an insightful Washington psychiatrist? AS a psych major -- I need more than just hot bodies -- I really need to watch minds in action and sensibilities and people who surprise me with their nuances and courage to grow and take a risk. Rebecca York has taken the werewolf far beyond its origins. In her Moon Series, the wolf becomes a compellingly mesmerizing shadow self of the male protagonist which enables the lovers to experiment with self knowledge and insight and their own range of emotions in playful and thoughtful and sensually expansive ways. So I grow along with Rebecca York and my life takes on new possibilities -- that's why I keep reading...after all these years.

Great New Werewolf Book

I've read all of Ms. York's Moon books. I loved the first one, and I wondered what she'd do to follow it. I've been continually surprised by how she does something new with each book in the series. So many writers get a good idea and drive it into the ground. She's continually coming up with new surprises, new ways to showcase her werewolves and their lifemates. For example, I'm pretty sure this was the first book where the heroine actually saw the hero change from man to wolf. It was quite a shock for her-but she handled it really well. I like the new dimension the author added with the Eighteen Club. I liked the way she took characters who could have been unlikable stereotypes and made me root for them. I'm hoping that the author is setting up the woman stalking the mind vampire in the basement of the castle to be the heroine of the next book.

excellent paranormal romantic suspense

The DC police inform artist Savannah Carpenter that they believe her sister Charlotte accidentally fell off rocks at Rock Creek Park leading to her being at George Washington University Hospital in a coma. Savannah thinks otherwise as she feels someone pushed her sibling who was looking into strange happenings at Club Eighteen better known as the Castle by its rich S & M patrons. When the Castle's guards see Savannah taking photos of their clients, they go after her, but a large wolf rescues her. Investigative reporter Lance Marshall offers to team up with Savannah as he senses a story that could help her learn what happened to Charlotte. She agrees. They enter the club albeit to have fun, but also to obtain the truth. However, like the Hotel California it is easy to enter, but impossible to leave. The York werewolf moon novels contains several excellent paranormal romantic suspense tales (see CRIMSON MOON), but SHADOW OF THE MOON may be the best of the series so far. The action-packed story line is fast-paced and filled with sexual tension accentuated by the danger that the audience will taste as if we have the enhanced sense of a werewolf. The lead couple is a delightful pairing as they investigate the goings on at the club, what happened to Charlotte, and the attraction between them in a gripping thriller. Harriet Klausner
