A gripping mystery with a sound message

This is an intriguing and engrossing mystery for pre- and young adolescents with a strong but subtly delivered message about human relations at the end. It's the sort of book I would like my daughter to enjoy. And as someone familiar with the area and the cultures in which the story is set, I can say that the author has done her homework in providing authentic and believable background.
