This book was a great book to read. I read it for my author research paper in school. It's a book that can be read to all age groups. The characters are simple, yet very realistic. It's about a 13 year old girl, who goes to visit her aunt for the summer. While there, she takes on the responsiblity of taking care of a 14 year old girl named Wilma, who is confined to a wheelchair. Over the summer, they grow to become friends yet Wilma feels so left out on everything. Fran tries to show Wilma and her family, she's just an ordinary girl and needs to be treated as one.

This was a great book, I read it for a High School Research Author Paper. This book is very easy to read, and it's one that could be read to children. The characters are very simple to understand, yet very realistic. It's about a young girl named Fran who goes to visit her aunt. While there she takes on the responsibility of watching over Wilma who is about the same age, who is confined to a wheel chair. Fran tries to show Wilma and her family, that Wilma is just as normal as every other child, and deserves to be treated that way.
