A interesting journey with reincarnation as its theme.

What evil lurks among the shadows? That is what Amanda Parrish must find out after she is pushed down a flight of stairs. But her job is harder than expected when she comes to with two sets of memories. Is she really divorcee Amanda Parrish? Or is she abused wife Elizabeth Dupard? And what answers do her neighbor, Dylan Forrest, and her ex-husband, Phillip Ryker hold?Dylan and Phillip refuse to believe that Amanda could be Elizabeth. And, even though Amanda is convinced that she *is* Elizabeth, she must pretend that she has been and always will be Amanda. Only her friend and co-worker, Lottie, believes her. After Lottie does a tarot reading and suggests the idea of reincarnation, does Amanda finally feel comfortable at the idea that she could be Elizabeth. Amanda struggles to combine and live with her two sets of memories, tries to find out who wants her dead, and can't understand her fascination -- possibly deadly obsession -- with Dylan. Did he love her in another lifetime? Could he love her in this one? And what about Phillip? Could he be Elizabeth's husband reincarnated? Lottie said that reincarnation is a chance for souls to make things right. Should Amanda give Phillip that chance?Sally Carleen takes us on an interesting journey with reincarnation as its theme. You can't help but to feel for both Amanda and for Elizabeth, by reading her journal and seeing her memories through Amanda's eyes. And -- most important through this reader's eyes -- you're left guessing up to the last few chapters as to just *WHO* the villain *REALLY* is.Reviewed by SLS 11/3/96
