Sex Education in Islam: Upholding Our Values and Principles

"Allah is never shy with the truth (Qur'an 33:53)." This verse of the Qur'an epitomizes our approach as Muslims with regards to very sensitive topics, and specifcally Sex Education. The need for clear and usable information is paramount. And even though there may be other material detailing sex-ed for Muslims, and specifically the youth, hopefully this book will make a tangible contribution as well.

Even though Muslim parents may be perturbed by sex-ed instruction in schools or the idea of such, it does beg the question, what should our Muslim children learn concerning sex-ed? And more importantly, what are our values and principles within this subject? We pray that this book clearly elucidates the previous in a way that leaves virtually no room for disagreement within our tradition.
