John Killinger, author of Ten Things I Learned Wrong from a Conservative Church, offers this insightful, very honest, and even sometimes humorous look at the most important things all seminarians need to know-and aren't learning in seminary.
Killinger tells it like it is. As I read, I thought "truth, truth, truth". At times I thought "You mean someone besides me experienced that?" At other times I laughed out loud. This is an experienced pastor who takes the high road as he shares the struggles of being a pastor. Pastors would be better off if we could share as openly as Killinger, maintain a Christlike bearing, and not judge one another for being so brutally honest. Laypeople need to read this to relate better to their pastors.
An absolute "must-read" for anyone contemplating any type of church career or service.
