History and food melt together like a creamy soup in this beautiful book! I waited for this copy for a while but once I got it…Wow! I immediately got to reading it and planning my next trip to the grocery store for ingredients for all of the recipes that inspired my imagination and tastebuds! Some recipes are a bit challenging but some are easy enough for the novice cook. The older versions verses the modern day recipes are unique in and of themselves, but they spark creativity and flavors in a time honored tradition in the kitchen! I would recommend this cookbook for both its historical importance and its culinary creations. Open it, and enjoy the experience of cooking with a lesson as well as food!
