Set Free At Last: Freedom From The Prison's Of The Mind ( A Spiritual Journey To Inner Change) By Eugene Allen

WHO IS EUGENE ALLEN?(THE NEED FOR FAITH-BASED PRISON and RHAB REFORM )Eugene Allen spent nearly thirty years of his life in prison. He has written several songs that he sings himself on YouTube and God Tube, written and published poetry, written several editorials and columns, for local newspapers, and plays guitar for a hobby. He has three books published on Amazon.com A Broken Life restored By Eugene Allen, Broken Chains By Eugene Allen an A Daily Devotional By Eugene Allen. He has organized walk-a-thons for both, Special Olympics, and Victims Of Crimes, for United Way Of America. He has been on 20/20, Good Morning America and The Today Show. He now writes devotionals to help families whose children are in prison, addicted, or in rehab as well and praying for victims of crime. His heart's desire, as a writer, is dedicated to writing about prison and rehab reform and about prison violence and corruption, that is running rampant, in the penal systems of America. He believes if our society is going to confine criminals, for their violent behaviors, and they should. Then we ought to do everything possible within our powers, to reassure the public, that these prisoners are returning back to society healthy. Not returning back to society, more dangerous, than they were before they were confined for their crimes. It becomes a waste of taxpayers dollars, and most of all, the potential victimization, of more innocent victims, when they are released. He believes there is a real need for prison reform in America. It is a matter of life and death. Eugene Allen, knows very well, the outcome of violence. He was raised as a young boy, in a family, whose history of violence, ran rampant, for five generations. As a young man, he started traveling down the same road himself. He was fortunate enough, to decide to change his life before it was too late for him to ever change. He broke the family violent cycle before it cost him his own life. He says, that prisons have changed for the good since he was in but still need a lot of work. Through his mom's prayers God rest her soul, prison saved his soul in the name of Jesus and being in prison saved his life as well. He has resided for the past twenty years, crime-free, in the beautiful state of Northern Maine.
