Essential, Practical, Enlightening

"Serving God on the Christian School Board" is brief, well organized, and incredibly well informed, drawing on decades of experience by the authors, as well as post-initial-publishing updates. While it is somewhat of a "dry" read, it is meant to be, as it is a book addressing clearly the roles and responsibilities of the members of a good Christian School Board, in a direct and succinct manner. It not only answers key questions one may have, but more importantly provides a framework for how to approach one's responsibilities overall--which invariably (for me, certainly!) leads to asking other questions about which one had not previously pondered. I would suggest that this book be required reading for every member of a Christian School Board--at minimum by the officers of the board. And for those considering the responsibility of such service, it is an outstanding introduction to what it means, as well as to how to get started. I am thankful that this book was written--it helped me tremendously when in this role.
