This is a great book, but I'm rather biased because Kraus is one of my favorite authors. He does a fantastic job weaving a great story together, with lots of action, drama, and, of course, a little romance. He also does a wonderful job presenting the salvation message to his audience.
Well-written medical thriller

I'm not so interested in the fact that Kraus is a surgeon as much as I am that he can write, and write about medical and hospital situations. His background obviously gives him the vocabulary and authority to write medical scenes, but his skill as a writer kept me reading. The story is interesting, if at times a bit implausible and slightly preachy, and the pace slows in spots, but still moves along.
Another great medical suspense novel from a doctor's pen!

The first book I read by Dr. Harry Kraus was "Could I Have This Dance?". It was just outstanding, so I had high expectations for this book as well. And I was not disappointed! As a fan of Robin Cook's books from way back, I was thrilled to find this genre under the umbrella of Christian fiction. This book is difficult to put down - the plot twists and turns and Dr. Kraus' characterization is excellent - you really feel like you know the characters. I especially liked his depiction of Travis, the son of the main female character, Beth. I felt that the book was realistic and wasn't one of these in which everything is perfectly resolved by the end of the book. There are several of Harry Kraus' earlier books that I am looking forward to reading! If you like Harry Kraus' books, check out Hannah Alexander, a husband/wife writing team (the husband is also a doctor). Those books are wonderful as well! Please check out my reviews of other Christian books!
