Lucy is a young girl who moves from London to a quiet village in the country. She feels largely ignored by her very busy mother, and craves her attention. Lucy is a tom-boy by nature and doesn't fit in easily at her new school, but then befriends Tom, a cheeky and fun loving boy. Lucy discovers a fantasy world where time does not exist and nothing seems quite as it should be. She thinks the land is her own secret but then it turns out that Tom has also been visiting this magical, strange and intriguing place. Then they realize that they have not come across this land by chance, but have been drawn there for a higher purpose. Lucy has to make a decision that could change her life for the better but could also destroy all she has come to love......
