So far, so good...

I'm only about four or five chapters in, but the book includes a comprehensive review of the history of sentencing. The book also clearly defines the terms that many other books simply use without fully explaining. It is slightly out of date and needs to be updated, but that's to be expected since it was published a few years ago. I'd expect a new version sometime soon, as the law is really evolving right now.
