"Rumbauskas has the ability to overcome the obvious and allow his readers to look at sales in a new dimension. While many people focus on sales tricks, Rumbauskas shows, in great detail, how to get your prospects to buy because they come to you informed and trustful of you before you even say 'hello.' He's one of those guys I listen to every time he speaks. He speaks out of tested methods and not opinion. Prior to marketing online, I spent fourteen years running some of the largest automobile dealerships in the USA. This is one book I would make recommended reading for every person who wants to become an elite sales professional. Selling Sucks is a money-making winner."

The Selling Machine Explained

I'm very picky about my gurus. Most gurus hold my attention for a week at most. I found Frank's material through a search for "cold calling help," and it has radically changed my approach over the last year. When any guru puts out a new book, the first question is about the material: Is it fresh, is it new? So many experts put out the same material over and over again. This book is chock full of new content. I've listened to all of Frank's free audio programs, and his TV show. The first third of the book is a recap of some of the audio programs, but it's so much easier to digest in a book format, so I wasn't bored. Starting at Chapter 9, the book steps up several notches. It gets into new territory for any sales/marketing book. It starts to explain how salespeople are "business advisers." That distinction is critical to business in the information age, where it's not what you know, but how you organize it. The book covers this in detail. The last third of the book develops a much deeper connection into the nature of sales and business itself. It discusses something I consider the core of any sales job: Value. Frank's stories and lessons are all part of a larger picture that creates a valuable relationship between you and your clients. This book is an excellent inquiry and full of weblinks, recommended books, and strategies that are very practical!

Great Book, Great Concepts!

I just finished reading Selling Sucks, and I have already started to implement some of the ideas that Frank explains. I think the ideas/concepts are very interesting, and I'm curious to see how things are going to turn out. I haven't had successes yet, (I just started) but I have already been published on the internet and I already have my own website up and running. I think this book is great for salespeople who are tired of old selling tactics, and need a breath of fresh air. I'd say...buy the book and start using the methods explained. I think things are going to start turning around very soon! Good luck!

This is more of a marketing book (in my opinion)

I purchased this book to better my selling skills. I have two major weak points in business. Selling and marketing. What I found after reading this book was a profitable way to market my business online. With this book I have gone from being weak to a powerful business man that I now command prospects. I began reading this book a the plane flying to Cancun. By Tuesday of the week I was in Mexico, I was ready to come home and begin applying what I learned. On vacation, I read this book twice. At least it kept me out of the pool bars some of the time! Thank you Frank for haveing the insight to make this book happen. [...]

How to stop selling and let your customers buy.

Selling Sucks is a great book that takes the confrontation and manipulative "sales techniques" out of selling. Based on the premise that customers already want to buy but most sales people cause distrust, confusion and disconnects, the book shows you how to effectively build relationships where customers buy because you've developed trust, desire and comfort in the decision they are making. One of the things that I liked about this book was the lack of warmed over ideas that have been presented a million times in every way possible. Rumbauskas brings fresh ideas, new applications and updated processes that work in today's competitive market. Whether you are a seasoned veteran or fresh out of the gate this book has much to offer . . . maybe even more so if you've been in the sales game for more than a few years. I found this book insightful, refreshing and a great addition to my library.

A Must Read for All Sales Professionals!!!!

What a breath of fresh air! I pre-ordered this book and got it early and having read another of Frank Rumbauskas's books I was excited about this new one. And it doesn't disappoint! What this book does is give you a whole new set of tools you can use to transform your entire sales process. Frank is right, it's stupid to spend time trying to sell to someone who doesn't want to buy to begin with. This book shows you things like how to get written up in the news very quickly and easily, and dozens of neat ideas like that which will put you miles ahead of other sales reps. The gist of it all is to position yourself as a recognized expert in your industry, which of course eliminates competition, price objections and everything else I hate dealing with. I've already started and am having success with using this new book. I've brought copies of the news article about myself to appointments and it's so much easier to close the sale with that level of credibility. It makes people really trust you. Frank's previous book was mostly about lead-generation, and this new one really completes the picture by explaining all these great ideas that are accessible but that no one uses, mostly because the average sales rep cannot think outside the box, but this book shows you how. I can't say enough about the ideas in this book!
